Prince Qing’s Residences

Located at 3 Dingfu Dajie in Xicheng District, this was the official residence of Yikuang with the restored title of Prince Qing. Yikuang was not powerful at first, but was gradually appreciated by Dowager Cixi, especially after he helped Ronglu to negotiate peace with the Eight-Power Allied Forces and was appointed the head of the Council of State as senior grand secretary.
Prince Qing’s Residences
He was a notorious corrupt official, with a very big fortune, and his residence was extraordinarily sumptuous. The residence was rebuilt according to the standard for a prince after Yikuang was conferred the title of a commandary prince in 1884, the 10th year of Emperor Guangxu’s reign, and began to be called the Residence of Prince Qing.
