Located at 71 Dongsi Batiao in Dongcheng District, this house was origi- nally owned by an official surnamed Wang in the Qing Dynasty who was in charge of hanging screens. It became Ye Shengtao’s home in Beijing after 1949.

Ye Shengtao’s Former Residences |
Ye Shengtao (1894-1988) was a famous educationist in contemporary China. After 1949, he was appointed vice minister of education and vice director of the Press and Publication Administration.
