Yue Family Garden
Located at 15 Suzhou Street in Haidian Distric, the garden was originally the villa of Prince Li of the Qing Dynasty. After Emperor Kangxi built the Changchun (Enjoy-the-Spring) Garden in 1690 and often stayed there to handle state affairs, to makeiteasiertogotocourt, theofficials, civilian and military, also began to build their own gardens around Yuanmingyuan or the Garden of Perfect Splendor.
This garden was the first of such gardens built by the offspring of Daishan,thefirst-generation Prince Li, in the western suburbs of Beijing. It was turned into the private home of the Yue family running the big drugstore Tongrentang.
